World Cup 2017 begins
The road to the World Cup begins! Every basketball team on the planet wants to participate in the strongest competition on the planet, but not everyone is able to do it. The qualifications are hard and only the best ones could move through them and actually reach the World Cup. The battle is real and the battle is tough.This week we are about to see some preliminary qualifications for the World Cup. And there are some good matches to look up to.Portugal hosts Bulgaria on Wednesday night, while in same time Kosovo are facing Macedonia in a typical Balkan derby. We are pretty sure that the atmosphere in the arena will be hot. When we are talking about qualifications, every win and every point is very important. So, understandbly, neither one of these teams will want to lose. Every loss here could be fatal. The players and their coaches know it well, so we expect to see them playing to their full potential.On Saturday night Bulgaria will be back in action. The Balkan country will be playing at home ground, because they will host Belarus in Sofia. Will be the Bulgarian happy from the result in Portugal? We will see very soon. Against Belarus, we could say that Bulgaria are a slight favourite.Later the same day, Austria are hosting Netherlands and Bosnia & Herzegovina are hosting Slovakia. Bosnia are the heavy favourite against Slovakia. They always had really talented players, when it comes to basketball. Meanwhile the match between Austria and Netherlands is much more unpredictable.The day will end with the match between Macedonia and Estonia in the capital Skopje.There will also be some friendly matches in the basketball world this week. On Monday New Zealand beat Angola, while on Friday Russia will meet Finland nad Lithuania are testing themselves against Poland.
